Los Angeles Avengers Host Successful Golf Tournament For PADRES

On May 8, the Los Angeles Avengers hosted their Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting PADRES Contra El Cáncer at MountainGate Country Club. Attended by some of Los Angeles' most influential business leaders, the tournament raised a significant amount of money for the children's cancer organization.

The event featured a putting contest and 18 holes of golf. Each foursome was paired with a member of the Avengers team or coaching staff.

In addition to "Closest to Pin" contests on the course, golfers competed in numerous competitions against their teammates including "Best Dressed" and "Longest Dribble". The winner of these fun contests took home items ranging from a Blackberry to bottles of wine to custom putters. Even golfers who didn't win these competitions took home prizes such as a golf wedge, Nike golf balls and spa certificates.

After an exciting day on the course, golfers had the chance to bid on spectacular items during the silent auction, which featured autographed sports and entertainment memorabilia as well as luxurious vacation and spa packages.

The event, which culminated with an awards dinner and opportunity drawing featuring a five-day stay at the Hilton Waikoloa in Hawaii, was a huge success for both the Avengers and PADRES. Special thanks to the event sponsors whose contribution truly made this event a success!
