Does PADRES Contra El Cancer ONLY provide support to Latino Families?
PADRES’ unique programs, activities and services benefit childhood cancer patients from all ethnic and economic backgrounds, serving families from initial diagnosis to survivorship.

NO FAMILY IS TURNED AWAY.

Does it cost anything to become a member of PADRES?
No, all of PADRES services and activities offered at no charge to families with a child with cancer and or a blood disorder.

How long can I be a member?
All PADRES activities and services are offered to patients from newborn to 21 years of age; however, membership at PADRES is for life.

How do I sign up to become a member of PADRES?
Parents and caregivers of a child with cancer or a blood disease can call our toll-free number (800) 828-3168 to register as a PADRES family.

Does PADRES work with my medical team?
Yes, PADRES works in conjunction with a patient’s medical and support team to provide adequate and comprehensive services to patients and their families.

My other children need support as well, can PADRES assist them?
Yes, PADRES services and activities are focused on the entire family, not just the patient.

How long has PADRES been in business?
PADRES was founded in 1985 and started serving 8 families. Since then, we have served over 6,800 families and 36,000 family members.
