El Sueño de EsperanzaSM Gala PADRES Contra El Cáncer celebrated its 25th anniversary at it’s Annual Fund–Raising Gala, “El Sueño De Esperanza” on Thursday September 23, 2010 at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California. The evening, presented by FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP (FARMERS), and hosted by Eva Longoria Parker raised over half a million dollars to serve children with cancer and their families. The evening’s highlights included a live special musical performance by double Latin Grammy award winner artist Gilberto Santa Rosa and a special musical tribute by lead singer of Santana “Supernatural,” Andy Vargas. “El Sueño De Esperanza” gala also recognized PADRES’ distinguished friends for their humanitarian contributions in support of the pediatric cancer community. Honorees included George Lopez who received the “El Sueño De Esperanza” Award; and Enrique Alejo of Liborio Markets who received the Ruby Oliva Cedillo Tribute Award for their unconditional support to PADRES. Attendees of the gala included, Andy Garcia, Mario Lopez, Sugar Ray Leonard, Josie Loren, Justin Bua, Lisa Vidal, Mario Lopez, Matt Cedeño, Charlie Lapson, Michael Trevino, Francisco Pinto, Eduardo Verastegui, Ervin Santana, Cristian de La Fuente, Angelica Castro, Carlos Ponce, Adrian Bellani, Eva La Rue, Beto Cuevas, Constance Marie, Demi Lovato, Wilmer Valderrama, and many more. The night paid tribute to PADRES’ extraordinary children and families. “This celebration is such an inspiring experience not only for me, but for the many friends who share in the joy and the passion of PADRES’ life – saving mission,” said Eva Longoria Parker, who is also the National Spokesperson for PADRES. “I consider the opportunity to serve as a voice for these children and their families as one of my life’s greatest blessings.” We extend a heartfelt “Thank You!”
